Our Story

Cinnamon Road’s a COVID baby. We’ve had a long-held passion for great curries, but COVID put an end to our curry-fests in local Indian restaurants. So we had to improve our cooking skills. We found it easy to make truly authentic curries at home. The more we enjoyed our curries the more we were thinking we can make great home cooking easier for all curry-lovers. That’s exactly what we’ve done!

After a year in development, Cinnamon Road it’s range of Indian Curry Spice Kits in Sydney’s Paddington markets during Christmas 2022. The kits quickly proved to be a winning formula with curry-lovers coming back for more at a number of markets across the Eastern suburbs.

In September 2023 we introduced tastings at our market stall in Sutherland. Importantly, we started video-recording people’s reactions to help us communicate customers’ real love and enthusiasm for our products.

March 2024 saw the launch of our Pathia Spice Kit with the flavours-packed Slow Cooked Coconut Beef following 2 months later.

Hand-crafted in Maroubra, we now boast growing online sales, while 11 of Cinnamon Road’s 12 Spice Kits are now available to retailers across Australia. Progress we will.

Freshest & best

Nope! We’re not claiming to have “walked the earth” to bring you only the freshest and best spices from around the world, but we do bring you only the freshest and best. We pick and choose our suppliers for each of the 35 spices and nuts that we use. The most delicious Garam Masala. The greenest and freshest methi leaves. The plumpest and brightest dried Kashmiri red chillies. The most consistently perfect Cassia sticks. The warmest and smoothest chilli powder. And we buy Australian when we can too. Our Almond meal is the best of South Australia.

We hand-pack the whole spices. That’s when we put ourselves into our customer’s Size 9’s. If any spices look off their peak then we buy better. If any look shy on quantity then we add more. Each packet is only closed when we’d be happy to be opening it ourselves. Only the freshest and best.
